Description

From F:NEX, the high-quality hobby brand by FURYU, comes the MIKASA figure from "Azur Lane" in the style of a traditional Japanese doll. The figure looks back with an umbrella in her hand, and is truly a beauty looking back. She exudes elegance and grace, and is so beautiful that you can't help but admire her.

- Collaboration with "Kaga Yuzen" Illustrated in 3D
"Azur Lane" has had numerous collaborations, yet one of the most noteworthy was with the traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture, "Kaga Yuzen." Drawing inspiration from the collaboration illustration, this figure incorporates elements of a Japanese doll. The figure, gracefully holding an umbrella, captivates with its elegance and beauty, exuding a sense of nostalgia. The hair flowing in the wind and delicate hair ornaments are meticulously crafted, with every detail carefully considered.

- Costume Prototype by Dollmaker Yamazaki Meisyo
The costume was designed by renowned dollmaker Yamazaki Meisyo. Attention was given to how the character would realistically wear a kimono based on the illustration. After numerous trials with sleeve movement and shape, the gap between illustration and reality was effectively bridged. The front view, not depicted in the illustration, showcases the natural movement down to the intricacies of the hem, staying true to the artist's intention.

- Reimagined Kimono Pattern from "Kaga Yuzen" Collaboration
The kimono pattern is a redesign, sized 1/4, based on the actual "Kaga Yuzen" collaboration kimono. Tetsuya Shigime, a "Kaga Yuzen" artist, focused on replicating the delicate musical instrument and score patterns by employing a technique where patterns join seamlessly across the seams. With attention to the color palette, a digital printer was used to express the fine lines and gradients, achieved with the collaboration of Kyoto's long-established textile merchant "Nishimura Shouji Shoten."

- Attention to Detail in the Color of the Obi
The obi's color is meticulously designed, maintaining the ambiance of the collaboration illustration while balancing the furisode, aimed at achieving a luxurious and realistic appearance. This was achieved by incorporating a crafted gold brocade from Kyoto's "Nishijin Ori Motomori" and using a "back-use" technique commonly used for hina dolls.

Enjoy the special "Mikasa" adorned in Japanese tradition.
