The G6 Hayabusa Fighter was the Army's main fighter plane, with its light maneuverability and high practicality as its weapons. The Type 2 was a type that aimed to improve speed performance by strengthening engine power and shortening wingspan, and was equipped with two Ho-103 and 12.7 mm machine guns in the nose, and a maximum speed of 515 km/h with a 1,130 horsepower Ha-115 engine.
It was active in all theaters as a main force from the middle of the war onwards. Furthermore, efforts to improve performance continued, such as equipping the later model with a thrust-type exhaust manifold to increase speed, and it fought until the end of the war.
