The Experimental Flight Development Group is a unit of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force responsible for the development of aircraft and equipment, operating out of Gifu Air Base. 

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in 2024, a special paint scheme has been applied to the unit's first F-15J aircraft, known as unit 801. Enjoy the striking design of the F-15, featuring a white body with red lines, which pays homage to the unit's first F-2 aircraft, unit 501.

Fine Molds' F-15 model kit continues the tradition of their Air Self-Defense Force jet fighters, following the F-4 and F-2. This new kit is designed for enhanced assembly enjoyment and accurately replicates the shape and details of the actual aircraft, thanks to comprehensive research.
