The 18C type container, which was introduced in 1988 as a larger capacity version of the previously launched 18A type, is a 12ft container with doors on two sides.
It played a vital role in freight transportation during the 1990s, along with the 18D type, but was phased out by around 2010 with the introduction of successor containers like the 19D type.
