The TAKI type 43000 is a 43-ton gasoline tank freight car introduced in 1967. In 1989, a 44-ton variant was introduced by reducing the weight of each part and enlarging the tank body, with these cars assigned numbers in the 200,000 range. Originally all cars were owned by Nippon Oil Transportation. Since around 2019, some have been transferred to Nippon Oil Terminal and repainted in the standard blue No. 15 tank car livery.
