1. The Original 'Sky G' S54 Model is Now a Product!
2. Reproduction of the Details of the So-Called Type III
3. Features an Opening and Closing Hood with Engine
With over 60 years of history, the Skyline GT's progenitor, the S54 model, was crafted
by extending the front of the existing Prince Skyline 1500 and installing a six-cylinder
2000cc engine from the Gloria. Although limited to 100 units for the 1964 Second
Japan Grand Prix, the S54 model received immense attention, leading to the full-scale
production and sale of the Skyline 2000 GT in 1965.
In 1966, Prince Motors merged with Nissan Motors, resulting in a minor redesign of
the S54 model, which continued to be produced and sold as the Nissan Prince Skyline
2000 GT until 1968. Tomica Limited Vintage (TLV) produced the base Prince Skyline
1500 in 2004, now launching the GT lineup 20 years later, transforming its design to
showcase two decades of evolution.
This release replicates the post-Nissan merger model, known as Type III, featuring
characteristics like a black-themed front grille and an opening hood, revealing the
six-cylinder G7 with triple carburetors indicative of the high-performance GT-B.
TLV now offers a complete collection of all 20th-century Skylines from the first
generation to the 10th generation R34 model. Be sure to collect them all!
