The history of rotary engines temporarily paused with the end of RX-7 production, but resumed with the introduction of the RX-8 in 2003. Even with four doors and seating for four, a compact rotary engine was essential to embody Mazda's vision of a sports car.
While preserving the image of Mazda's legendary sports cars, the RX-8 evolved fittingly for the 21st century. After significant interior and exterior changes in 2008, it was produced until 2012, now known as the last rotary sports car to date.
In August 2024, TLV-NEO launched a new mold for the RX-8 second half model. The hood can open and close, and the engine cover is detachable, offering a view inside the engine room. The new navy color for this model was the primary color at the debut of the second half model. Enjoy it alongside the frequently seen black body in the city.
