The 105 series EMU was introduced to replace older rolling stock that had been used on rural electrified lines.
Newly manufactured groups were built with a three-door-per-side configuration.
At the Shimonoseki General Rolling Stock Depot, Okayama Electric Train Branch, there are seven formations totaling 14 cars of the 105 series, which are mainly operated on the Fukuen Line and the Sanyō Main Line.
-The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-18 Motorized Chassis, TT-04R Trailer Conversion Kit, and Tomix 0289 Pantograph.
