The Kintetsu Series 8000 was introduced in 1964 for use on the Nara and Kyoto Line systems.
Early production units were equipped with ceiling fans, and featured distinctive roof-mounted ventilators, which became a visual hallmark of the series.
The fleet included both 2-car sets and later 4-car sets with added intermediate cars. These trains served the lines actively until 2002.
Today, some later-build cars and units modified into other series remain in operation.
This release includes two types of formations:
- A 4-car set featuring the later ivory-based livery with maroon window and lower body lines, following air-conditioning retrofits.
- A 2-car set in a transitional livery, notable for its unique front-end paint scheme during the repainting phase.
-The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-14 Motorized Chassis, TT-04R Trailer Conversion Kit, and Tomix 0238 Pantograph.
