Iyo Railway is a railway company that operates both tram (streetcar) lines and suburban train lines centered around Matsuyama City.
The series 2000 cars were acquired from the Kyoto Municipal Transportation Bureau series2000 and entered service in 1979. A total of five cars were transferred, and they are still in operation today as streetcars.
Since 2015, as part of the “IYOTETSU Challenge Project,” their exterior design has been renewed, featuring an all-orange body with a new logo.
In recent years, the destination displays have been upgraded to LED, and they now support English as well.
-The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-TR01 Motorized Chassis.
