Wakayama Bus is a bus operator headquartered in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, as its name suggests, and is part of the Nankai Group. The company operates a network of routes primarily within Wakayama City.
In April 2026, Wakayama Bus will celebrate its 50th anniversary. As the first project of the anniversary, two newly introduced buses feature revival designs that recreate vehicle liveries once operated in Wakayama City.
These vehicles reproduce the designs of:
- A blue-based livery reminiscent of the Nankai Electric Railway buses that were active in the 1960s, and
- A two-tone livery of vermilion and cream based on the design used at the founding of Wakayama Bus in 1976.
These are the first newly built vehicles with revival designs in Wakayama Bus history.
