The Hiroshima Electric Railway series 3000 was introduced as the company’s first three-car articulated tram, converted from vehicles previously used on the Nishitetsu Fukuoka City Line.
At the time of its introduction, it was used for through services with the Miyajima Line.
Later, with the introduction of newer rolling stock, its role shifted to the city lines. However, due to aging, the cars were gradually withdrawn from service, and today only car No. 3003 remains in service.
Car No. 3003 had long been operated as a full-body advertising tram, but in 2022 it was repainted in the Miyajima Line through-service livery, restoring an appearance reminiscent of its former days.
- The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-TR06 Motorized Chassis and Tomix 0238 Pantograph.
