The Shin-Yokohama to Mizonokuchi Line operated by Tokyu Bus connects Shin-Yokohama Station, served by the Tokaido Shinkansen, with Mizonokuchi Station, served by the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, as its name suggests.
It was opened in December 2001 as an express bus service running on the Third Keihin Road, a dedicated expressway, to link these two stations, which are inconvenient to connect by rail.
Because the route runs along the Third Keihin Road, it is a rare service that operates “one-room” style buses equipped with seat belts and reclining seats, despite having a typical local bus appearance.
However, due to declining ridership following the opening of new railway lines and other factors, the service will be discontinued at the end of March 2026, bringing its quarter-century history to a close.
Compatible powered chassis is <BM-04> sold separately.
