The E8 series is a train model for the Yamagata Shinkansen that began operations in March 2024. This series replaces the previous E3 series and can travel at a maximum speed of 300 km/h between Utsunomiya and Fukushima. A total of 15 sets are scheduled to be introduced by 2026.
