The Series 183-1500 model reproduces the KUHA Series183 train with ATC as operated in the Makuhari region. This High Grade (HG) model faithfully recreates the 14-car set originally built with six new cars and eight modified cars, and later reorganized for Boso region service, including the 1985 conversion to 6-car mono-class sets that could be extended to 9 cars during peak periods.
