The series 183-0 is a DC express train introduced in 1972. With the opening of the Sobu Rapid Line between Tokyo and Kinshicho and the electrification of the Uchibo and Sotobo lines, units were built to upgrade some express services to limited express status. All were assigned to Makuhari Electric Railway Depot.
High Grade (HG) specification model set. Includes one each of MOHA 182-0, MOHA 183-0, and Saro 183-0 cars for a total three-car set. Combine with 97639 and 97640 to recreate a nine-car formation including a Green Car.
