The series KIHA40 is a general-purpose diesel car that debuted in 1977. The series KIHA40-100, designed for use in Hokkaido, has undergone driver-only operation modifications and life-extension work, becoming the series KIHA40-1700. These trains were operational across various regions within Hokkaido but have gradually decreased in number due to aging. The KIHA40 type on the Nemuro Main Line between Takikawa and Furano ended its operation with the timetable revision in March 2025.

- Reproduction of all four KIHA40-1700 trains that operated on March 14, 2025, before the timetable revision, including numbers 1722, 1744, 1745, and 1775

- The 1775 model, originally a late model of the KIHA40-100, features a newly manufactured, less angled obstacle deflector, characteristic of late models
- Jumper hoses can be realistically reproduced as separate parts
- Two interchangeable pre-printed front displays, "one-man" and "express one-man," with red text and fully green text, are included for 1744's second-end. Also included are two "extra" signs for tours, covering all operational scenarios
- Head and tail lights, and front display are equipped with a constant lighting board featuring an ON-OFF switch
- Lights use white LEDs, with the headlight illuminated in a color close to incandescent due to the use of a color prism
- Tread plates and door rails are reproduced in silver
- Includes a commemorative booklet showcasing milestones such as operations on the Nemuro Main Line and adopts a package style with a book-shaped case cover

- Features a new power collection system and black wheels
