About the Actual Aircraft:

- The U-125A is a rescue search aircraft operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force since 1994. 

- It is based on the DH.125 twin-engine business jet originally developed by the UK company De Havilland and later manufactured by BAe. 

- The Naha Rescue Squadron, deployed at Naha Base in Okinawa, operates the U-125A alongside the rescue helicopter UH-60J. 

- The UH-60J is a rescue helicopter developed from the UH-60 Black Hawk by the American company Sikorsky and has been used by Japan's Maritime and Air Self-Defense Forces since 1991. 

- In 2022, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Naha Rescue Squadron applied special paint to its aircraft, which was showcased at the Churashima Air Festival in December, gaining popularity.

- The model is a 1/144 scale plastic assembly kit that accurately recreates the U-125A and UH-60J rescue search aircraft operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
