About the Real Vehicle:

The Semovente is a self-propelled gun developed by the Italian army during World War II, inspired by the success of the German StuG III assault guns. Formalized in 1939, it was continually improved based on the chassis of the main battle tank, Carro Armato. The turret was removed from the upper hull, and a new fixed fighting compartment was equipped. An 18-caliber 75mm howitzer, the da 75/18, was mounted as the main gun. The vehicle using the Carro Armato M13/40 chassis was formalized as the M40 da 75/18. It proved effective in infantry support and anti-tank combat, which led to the development of the M42 da 75/34, equipped with a 34-caliber 75mm tank gun on the M42 chassis, and it was deployed from 1943.

This model is a 1/35 scale plastic assembly kit replicating the Italian army's self-propelled gun, Semovente M42 da 75/34, which was active during World War II. The finished model measures 144mm in length, authentically reproducing the style equipped with a long gun barrel on a fixed combat chamber. A metal part is provided for the gun barrel, enhancing the realism alongside detailed rivet patterns on various parts of the hull. The lower hull is a box-type assembly. The driver's seat, transmission, and interior of the combat chamber are also modeled. Upper hatches and other elements of the combat chamber can be assembled in either open or closed positions. Emphasis is also placed on finishing the interior. The tracks are belt-style for easy assembly, creating a mechanical finish alongside detailed suspension. Six types of markings are included.
