The CN-M8100 chain is specially designed for the M8100 chainrings and cassettes. Milled on the inside of the tabs, the chain blends perfectly with the Dynamic Chain Engagement + (DCE +) Narrow-Wide Tooth profiles on the new Deore XT chainrings. The design results in a closer fit of the chain on the teeth. Vibration is avoided and the quieter track is not only noticeable when pedaling, but also extremely acoustically by a quieter drive. Thanks to a new chromed surface in combination with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the chain life was kept at the same level as the M8000 chain, despite the smaller outer width.
NOTE: The CN-M8100 chain is recommended by Shimano only for use with Deore XT M8100 12-speed drives.
