This product utilizes a "hybrid edge" that changes the cutting target depending on the part of the blade. It can cut a wide range of materials, from soft metal wire Φ0.2mm to aluminum wire up to Φ5mm.
This tool can cut brass wire Φ3mm, which is used for the shafts of 1/4 scale figures, with a nearly flat cut.
By slicing (cutting thinly) it is possible to reduce distortion during cutting and insert the wire into a shaft hole of the same diameter with minimal shaving. It is also possible to make diagonal cuts, although this requires considerable grip strength.
Compatible materials:
- Aluminum wire: 0.2mm - 5.0mm
- Copper wire: 0.2mm - 4.0mm
- Brass wire: 0.2mm - 3.0mm
- Nickel silver wire: 0.2mm - 2.5mm.

Caution:
- When cutting thick materials, always use the base of the blade.
- Do not cut wires other than those intended.
- For safety, wear safety glasses.
- To prevent flying objects, make sure there are no people or fragile objects around before starting.
- Do not touch the cutting edge directly.
- To prevent rust, wipe off any dirt or fingerprints and oil the shaft and cutting edge.
- Store in a case out of reach of small children.
- If you touch the metal parts with your fingers, wipe off any fingerprints and apply oil. Skin oils can cause rust, so be sure to wipe them off with a clean cloth.
- Regularly apply anti-rust and lubricating oil such as nipper maintenance oil. If the lubrication performance deteriorates, rattles may occur, which may lead to breakage.
- After use, please store with the cap on.
