Originally built as a cargo ship for Kawasaki Kisen, this vessel was refitted in 1942 during World War II as an auxiliary seaplane tender. It survived two torpedo attacks by American submarines but was sunk by bombing in May 1945.

This kit transforms the refitted "Kunigawa Maru" auxiliary seaplane tender into a 1/700 scale plastic model kit. With a well-considered parts structure, it is simple to assemble while accurately capturing details.
