The Beginning of the GT-R Legend
The third-generation Skyline, C10 series, launched in August 1968 after a full model change, quickly became a hit. Popularized by the commercial catchphrase "The Beloved Skyline," it earned affectionate nicknames like "Ai-Suka" and "Suka-G." In October 1968, the 2000GT-R was introduced and made its race debut on May 1, 1969, at the JAF Grand Prix. Securing first place in the TS division from its initial race, it amassed consecutive victories and built an unshakeable legacy for the Hakosuka R.
