Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR32 model description
The BNR32 GT-R debuted in August 1989 as an additional model to the R32 Skyline during Japan s economic boom. It revived the GT-R lineage after a 16 year absence since the Kenmeri GT-R and was engineered to dominate touring car racing.
Designed to win in the Group A JTC All Japan Touring Car Championship, the BNR32 was powered by the purpose built RB26DETT engine configured to meet Group A regulations. The BNR32 Skyline GT-R achieved complete victories in every JTC race it entered, recording a legendary 29 consecutive wins and establishing itself as an icon from street to circuit.
