Kato 1-702A Diesel Locomotive Type DD51 Warm Terrain (HO scale)

The DD51 type debuted in 1962 (Showa 37) as the main diesel locomotive for non-electrified trunk lines. At its peak, 649 units were produced, with variations emerging during mass production to suit cold and warm climates, passenger and freight use. It hauled a wide range of passenger and freight cars, and often operated in double-heading formations.
