Hapi-Line Fukui is a newly established third-sector railway line launched in conjunction with the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Kanazawa to Tsuruga in March 2024. With this opening, the section from Daishoji to Tsuruga was separated from JR's management. Sixteen 2-car 521 series trains, which had been operating on the same line, have been transferred, featuring an original pink-based color scheme. Furthermore, in June of the same year, a full-wrap version appeared, attracting attention with its vibrant appearance.
- The 2-car set features the HF11 series, and the 4-car set includes the HF09 and HF10 series.
- Recreates a vivid pink-based coloring. The special edition combines regular-colored and fully wrapped cars in a 4-car set.
- The front end is equipped with a dummy coupler. By replacing it with the included coupler for head-to-head connection, coupling between lead cars is possible.
- The intermediate coupling section adopts a body-mounted tight coupler (without hook).
- Equipped with a slotless motor, achieving smoother and quieter operation. Includes replacement parts with demagnetization plate: "Rapid Tsuruga" and blank for the 2-car set, "Local Fukui" and blank for the 4-car set.

- Front destination display for the 2-car set is "One-man Local Fukui," standard paint for the 4-car set is "One-man Local Tsuruga," and the wrapped train is "Rapid Fukui," all pre-installed.
