JR East E721 Series Model for the South Tohoku Area
- Accurate model of the E721 series used on JR East South Tohoku area AC electrified lines.
- Introduced in 2007 for Sendai Depot renewal work and operation on the Sendai Airport Access Line.
- Low floor body with small diameter wheels to match regional low platform heights and provide step-free barrier free boarding.
- Multiple variations exist, including the earlier 0 and 500 series 2-car sets and the 1000 series 4-car fixed sets introduced in 2016, plus third sector vehicles sharing the same basic design.
Option Parts and Features
- Model of the Sendai Depot P-13 set with one-man display next to the doors. Underfloor equipment including bogies and obstacle deflectors reproduced in gray.
- Accurate reproduction of different stripe colors by subseries: 0 series stripes in green, white and red; 1000 series stripes in green, white and pink. Car numbers, depot markings and car position markings are preprinted.
- Window size variations on the toilet-facing side reproduced according to subseries.
- Head and tail lights illuminate with an off switch. Each car features four headlights.
- Newly created PS109 type round pipe pantograph.
- Bogies modeled as low-floor DT72 and TR256. Small diameter wheels of 5.2 mm are used to match the real vehicles, and the realistic axle spacing of 2,100 mm is reproduced. Snowplow attached.
- Front end of the lead car equipped with a dummy coupler and coupler cover.
- Lead car coupling is compatible with the 701 series. Intermediate coupling faces use body-mount close couplers without hooks.
- Obstacle deflector reproduces different inspection cover positions for MOHA E721 and KUHA E720, and the presence or absence of inspection covers that vary by subseries.
- Front destination display set to Sendai. Replacement front displays included: Shin-Shirakawa and blank. Destination display stickers included.
- DCC friendly.
