Kato 10-2098 Series E4 Shinkansen 'Max Toki' 8 Cars Set (N scale)

The series E4 Shinkansen debuted in 1994 as an all double-decker high-speed train following the series E1. It was normally formed as an 8-car set and operated in 16-car formations by coupling two sets. The series E4 also operated in combined service with the series E3 Yamagata Shinkansen Tsubasa. In 16-car formation the seating capacity was 1,634, one of the largest capacities for a high-speed train. After the introduction of the series E5 the E4 was mainly used on the Joetsu Shinkansen, and in 2014 the band color was changed from yellow to pink.

- The first floor of the intermediate powered car (E459-200) is modeled as see-through.

- Includes decal sheet covering era-specific exterior markings, destination signs, and seat indicators beside the Green car door.
