Kato 10-2127 Series 289 'Kounotori - Kinosaki' 3 Cars Add-on Set (N scale)

The 289 series limited express DC EMU was created by modifying the 683 series 2000 subseries (originally used on the limited express "Shirasagi") to replace the 381 series that had served "Kuroshio", "Kounotori", "Kinosaki" and "Hashidate". Major changes include removal of AC equipment from the roof, removal of equipment under the center of the body, and a revised window layout caused by the Green car being made into a half-compartment. The 289 series used on "Kounotori" and "Kinosaki" operates in 4-car and 3-car sets and can be formed up to a maximum of 7 cars.
