The Limited Express "Mahoroba" connects Osaka and Nara and was previously operated as a temporary train, with changes in vehicles, routes, and stops. Starting in March 2025, it will become a regular service, with April marking the introduction of specially refurbished 3-car sets based on the 683 series 2000 series, upgraded to the 6000 series. The first set, "Annei," introduced in April, features a body color symbolizing "overflowing vitality and abundance" in gold and "Suou color," derived from dyes introduced from the continent during the Nara period, commonly seen in treasures of that era. The design uniquely expresses the "sunlight of paradise" illuminating the tranquility of all things.
