The EF15 is a standard freight electric locomotive that saw mass production with 202 units manufactured between 1947 and 1958. These locomotives operated on DC sections across Japan, from the Tohoku Main Line in the north at Kuroiso to the Sanyo Main Line in the south at Shimonoseki, until around 1987.
