The KIHA25 series, introduced in 2010, is a general type diesel train operated by JR Central. It is designed based on the exterior and interior features of the 313 series trains (4th batch). The 1000 and 1100 series form a fixed two-car configuration, with the 1000 series featuring a front car with a toilet and the 1100 series without. These units are part of the second batch introduced in 2014. From this group, the body is beadless, and the obstacle deflectors are equipped with deer collision protection.
Option Parts:
- Reproduction of the beadless smooth body, exhaust pipe on the end face, upper headlights, and front design without driver's side display, with a matte stainless finish.
- Head/taillights, and front display illumination with on/off switch, using white LED.
- Slotless motor adopted for smooth and quiet operation. Equipped with demagnetization plate.
- Body-mounted tight coupling without hook adopted for all coupling sections. Includes a single-stage electric coupling that can be attached to the front coupler of the leading car.
- Includes destination display stickers that feature priority seating indicators, and anti-slip on the front of the leading car.

Series KIHA25-1000 (Takayama Line & Taita Line)
- Reproduction of the current appearance of P103 set, belonging to the Mino-Ota vehicle district.
- Reproduction of the second batch 1000 series cars with long seats designed for cold regions.
- Features of the cold-region specification 1000 series, such as obstacle deflectors for deer collision protection and a whistle cover on the roof, are reproduced.
- The front display is already printed with "One-man Ordinary Takayama." User-replaceable labels for "One-man Ordinary Gifu" and "One-man Ordinary Tajimi" are included.
