The KIHA25 series, introduced in 2010, is a general-type diesel vehicle by JR Central, designed based on the exterior and interior facilities of the 313 series train (fourth model). The 1500 series, introduced in 2014, represents the second generation group, featuring a seamless stainless steel car body and obstacle deflectors for deer collision protection. Unlike the 1000 series, the 1500 series does not have a roof whistle or snow plow.
