Aichi Loop Railway is a 45.3 km line that connects Okazaki on the Tokaido Main Line, via Shin-Toyota (which links to Meitetsu Toyota Line and Mikawa Line), to Kozoji on the Chuo Main Line. The line opened in January 1988 by combining the former JNR Okata Line segment from Okazaki to Shin-Toyota with a newly built section from Shin-Toyota to Kozoji as a third-sector railway.
