TAKI 1000 is a high-performance tank car introduced in 1993 (Heisei 5) to enable higher-speed freight operations, with a maximum operating speed of 95 km/h. Over the following 28 years, improvements were made and production continued, reaching a total of 1,008 units by 2021 (Reiwa 3).
