Series 287 Limited Express DC Electric Train "Kuroshio" 60th Anniversary Wrapping Livery Model
The series 287 is a limited express DC electric train developed by JR West based on the series 683-4000, operating as "Kounotori" and "Kuroshio." In 2025, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Kuroshio service, a 60th anniversary wrapping livery started running in July. The first livery evoked the series 381"Super Kuroshio" that ran from 1989. From August 2025, a second livery featuring a wave motif extending from the front to the sides was introduced. The first livery ran through February 2026 and the second livery is scheduled through November 2028.
