Kato 3077-2 EF10 3rd Production Type (N scale) recreates a Japanese National Railways DC electric locomotive built before World War II for heavy freight service. The EF10 class worked on major electrified routes including the Tokaido Main Line, Joetsu Line, and Kanmon Tunnel area before later moving to regional duties.
This reissue represents the distinctive third-production EF10 with cast-steel truck frames and the Toyohashi engine depot appearance from around 1975, when the type was active on Iida Line freight trains. The model captures the rounded body profile, roof monitor, deck end beams, and characteristic truck detail of this version.
