Sakurai Futamigaura in Itoshima has been selected as one of "Japan's 100 Best Beaches" and "Japan's 100 Best Sunsets." Around the time of the summer solstice, the sun sets between the two rocks. Bound together with a shimenawa (sacred rope) and standing side by side, the paired rocks are cherished as a place for matchmaking.
