Completely New Molds
Showa Era Dream Car: The Laurel SGX Debuts!
The 2-door hardtop "Buta Ketsu Laurel" has been recreated with a focus on the performance-oriented SGX based on thorough research of the actual car with completely new molds.
In 1972, the second-generation Laurel was launched as a high-end vehicle following its predecessor. Known for sharing its core design with the fourth-generation Kenmeri Skyline, it boasted impressive driving performance and a sophisticated interior, gaining it significant popularity. The catchphrase "Drive slowly. Live slowly." reflects the mature and relaxed lifestyle symbolized by the Laurel.
The product is a model kit of the top-grade 2-door hardtop SGX from its later version in 1973. It faithfully replicates the distinctive Buta Ketsu styling with its unique rear view and luxurious interior, all crafted from entirely new molds following detailed research on the actual vehicle.
