- This model replicates the Nagato's appearance during the Sho-1 Operation in October 1944, following its service as the flagship of the Combined Fleet.

- Features wartime modifications such as radar installations, removal of secondary guns, and closure of portholes.

  

Key Reproduction Features:

- Hull: The hull is crafted with precision, featuring armor plate seams recreated for a detailed look. Most portholes are closed, with the sealed plates finely represented in an embossed style. 

- Hull Bottom: The seams of the hull bottom are delicately sculpted, with intake and discharge ports modeled based on surviving ship diagrams. The hull bottom, screw brackets, and rudder come molded in red, while the propellers are in gold, eliminating the need for additional painting.

- Bridge: The primary and auxiliary command posts are reproduced with front covers. The bridge floors accurately replicate details such as linoleum, gratings, and strips.

- Main and Secondary Guns: Differences between gun turrets are expressed with separate parts, and the main gun muzzles feature openings reproduced with slide molds. The protective canvas on the secondary guns is faithfully recreated.

- Funnel and Aviation Work Deck: The funnel simplifies assembly with integrated auxiliary equipment like steam exhaust pipes. The aviation work deck is pre-colored in linoleum color, requiring no painting. Catapult and aircraft systems feature precise sculpture to ensure accurate representation.

- Radar and Aircraft Details: The aft mast features two integrated 13-type radars, lowering the number of parts for assembly. The aircraft recovery crane is stored, with covers reproduced based on remaining photographs.

- Bagged Sandbags: Sandbags stacked around single machine gun positions are represented with dedicated parts and painted beige for an authentic burlap bag appearance.

- Reconnaissance Aircraft: The set includes a single Zero Observation Seaplane painted in dark green, with stickers for the Hinomaru or yellow stripes.

- The display stand offers improved stability with a redesigned low center of gravity and increased footprint. It features reversible parts with smooth and ripple-effect surfaces to simulate waves if painted blue.

This model is part of a snap-fit series, distinct from conventional kits, and requires no glue for assembly (excluding bonus parts). Major colors are pre-divided, and precision decals offer realistic details for finish and marking.
