Born in 1966 in Kokura, Kitakyushu City. Began oil painting in junior high school.
After entering high school, he studied under Kagyu Yamaguchi and shifted to calligraphy.
After graduating from university, he expanded his activities into the design field, engaging in brush lettering for packages, sake labels, CD jackets, posters, etc.
Currently, he is exploring the way of calligraphy in not only traditional Japanese spaces but also in everyday Western spaces.
He is actively working with the theme of a modern understanding and free-spirited calligraphy not bound by established norms.
