Born in 1966 in Kitakyushu City, Kokura. Started painting in oils from junior high school. After entering high school, studied under Yamaguchi Kanyuu and switched to calligraphy. After graduating from university, expanded activities into the design field, writing brush characters for packaging, sake labels, CD jackets, posters, etc. Currently exploring the role of calligraphy in everyday Western spaces as well as Japanese spaces. Active under the theme of comprehensible modern calligraphy with a free-spirited approach, unfettered by conventional calligraphy.
