His "12 Constellations" series has been commercialized worldwide. The planetarium production "Night on the Galactic Railroad" was screened nationwide, becoming a major hit with over one million viewers. He is also popular as a photographer, publishing photo books and essay collections. On X (formerly Twitter) he has over 900,000 followers. In recognition of his contributions to astronomy outreach and his work as an artist, asteroid number 11949 was named "Kagayayutaka".
