Pit-Road 1/144 Sky Wave Series JMSDF P-1 Patrol Plane Plastic Model

The P-1 Jet Patrol Aircraft is meticulously recreated in a completely new mold based on thorough research of the actual aircraft!

Developed as a successor to the propeller-driven P-3C anti-submarine patrol aircraft, the P-1 made its first flight in September 2007. It is the world's first practical aircraft to adopt a fly-by-light control system, providing measures against electromagnetic interference. Additionally, it features newly developed acoustic and radar systems that enhance search and detection capabilities for submarines and suspicious vessels. The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force began operating the P-1 in 2013, and it is currently deployed at the Atsugi base in Kanagawa and the Kanoya base in Kagoshima. It is also used by the 203rd Education Air Squadron at the Shimofusa Aviation Base in Chiba for training fixed-wing aircraft pilots and flight crew.
