In Japanese, Fire Force is 炎炎ノ消防隊, or “En En Shouboutai.” The English name is a fairly literal translation, except that in Japanese ç‚Žç‚Ž, or En En, is a way of saying that the flames are very large and persistent, which reflects the premise of the anime and manga.
