The Kintetsu series 8000 is a train type introduced in 1964 for use on the Nara and Kyoto line networks.
The earliest units were equipped with ceiling fans, and the roof-mounted ventilators became a distinctive feature of their appearance.
Both 2-car sets and later 4-car sets—formed by adding intermediate cars—were operated on these lines until 2002.
Currently, some series 8000 cars have been modified and incorporated into other series, while later-production units remain in service.
-The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-14 Motorized Chassis, TT-04R Trailer Conversion Kit, and Tomix 0238 Pantograph.
