Nagoya Rinkai Railway was established in 1965 in response to the increased demand for rail transportation due to the expansion of the Nagoya Rinkai Industrial Zone in the 1950s. The ND552 series primarily operates on the To-ko Line (Kasadera to To-ko), the Minami-ko Line (To-ko to Nagoya South Freight), and the Higashi-chiku Line (To-ko to Meidenchiko). On the To-ko and Minami-ko lines, it handles tasks such as the Toyota Longpass Express from Nagoya South Freight and limestone transportation from Yabashi Industry (Ogaki) to Nippon Steel Nagoya Works. Some trains are also double-headed.
- Nagoya Rinkai Railway ND552 series units 7 to 10 are produced. In 2015, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its establishment, unit 7 was released in the original JNR color scheme, and units 8 to 10 in the current livery first adopted in 1995.
- Features a unique single-lamp headlight and DT105 shaped bogies.

- Red and gray body with a white line, beautifully expressing the end beam warning color. The pattern under the front number is printed.
- The roof signal flame pipe is gray, and the whistle is reproduced in gold.
- Units 8 to 10 (current livery)
- Blue body with a white line, beautifully expressed. The mark under the front number can be recreated with the included lettering sheet.
- Roof signal flame pipe and whistle are reproduced in light blue.
- The number plate can be recreated with the included lettering sheet.
- The company emblem and manufacturer's plate on the cab side are pre-printed in "Nissha" (red).
- A flywheel-powered unit ensures stable operation (equipped with TORA traction tires).
- Headlight illuminates with a bulb-colored LED.
- Comes standard with Arnold couplers, with knuckle coupler replacements included.
