Hasegawa 1/72 P-3C K15X Update II
Even though this kit has been around for a long time, it never disappoints me to build one. For a long time in the United States, this particular kit with the original issue decals has, until now, been almost impossible to find and is among my favorite builds. Over the years I have had 9 different versions. Two were to L-188 Electra airliner conversions using contrails conversion sets airline markings of Eastern airlines (Hockey Stick markings) and early American airlines respectively. Several were U.S. Navy type (VP-19 BIG RED my favorite) and now with this 10th kit, I can build all early JMSDF versions with their beautiful tail markings. The kit it self does have raised panel lines but they are thin and delicate and with EDUARD photo-etched additions you can really go to town right out of the box. The clear canopy and windows are very clean and distortion free, in a word ...excellent! It is a straight forward build and user friendly to boot. Instructions are easy to follow and accurate. I highly recommend this kit to all and hope that Hasegawa continues to re-issue this particular version and more. A must have for any modern world naval collection. AAAAA+++++
