The  Pokémon Terrarium Collection 3 by Re-Ment is an amazing set of 6 Pokémon frozen in a fantastic scene and displayed in a transparent Pokéball for you to marvel at is beauty.

As the title suggests, this is the 3 rd set in a line of Pokémon terrariums by Re-Ment, who make fantastic, highly detailed miniature models and toys.

In this set we have 6 classic Pokémon: Charmander, Zapdos, Cyndaquil, Misdreavus, Vaporeon and Celebi.

Each Pokémon is captured in amazing detail and displayed in a scene that relates to that Pokémon’s background and traits.

One of six Pokéball toys from the Pokémon Terrarium Collection 3 A perfect example of this is Charmander, who is standing in a muddy area trying to get some shelter from the rain underneath some large plant leaves. Charmander is one of the 3 first starter Pokémon from generation 1. This scene closely resembles the scene from Pokémon Indigo League Episode 11, where we first come across Charmander who had been abandoned by his owner Damian, and is rescued by Ash and Brook from the rain. The model itself has highly detailed, differing colour leaves with the large leaf having a water droplet about to drop into a puddle below it. It’s amazing how so much is caught in this scene.

The next terrarium is of Zapdos. Zapdos is one of the legendary bird trio and is originally known as “Thunder” in Japan.

It is said that Zapdos is always seen in conjunction of thunderstorms as it gathers it’s electricity from storm clouds and is said to live in such clouds. In this scene, you can see storm clouds around Zapdos and it harnessing the lightning that is emerging from around it. The illusion of Swirling clouds is amazing and the lightning is positioned as if Zapdos is drawing it towards itself.

The third terrarium is of Cyndaquil. Like Charmander, Cyndaquil is a starter Pokémon but from generation 2 and is also a fire type.

As Cyndaquil gets angry, the flame on its back gets bigger. In this scene you can see Cyndaquil has lost a pear in the water and is getting frustrated as it cannot reach it with its nose, causing its flame to flare up. It’s awesome how you can see the layering of the ground, with dark earth underneath the green grass and the waters edge meeting the land. There is a nice groove for the pear in the water to sit in and the shrubs have shaped slots for them to sit right in the grass. It’s a scene with beautiful colours and really does pop.

The next terrarium features the mysterious ghost type Pokémon, Misdreavus.

Misdreavus is a nocturnal Pokémon that preys on individuals to play tricks on them and scare them. It uses the red gems on its neck to absorb fear and feeds off of it. In this scene there are mysterious purple waves around a stone path where we can see Misdreavus pinning down an Unown and absorbing it’s fear in front of a gravestone. The scene certainly feels spooky!

Our fifth terrarium features the water type evolution of the extremely popular Eevee, Vaporeon. Vaporeon is a water Pokémon that shares physical traits of both land and water animals. Vaporeons are usually spotted in the wild, in fresh water lakes. In this scene we can see Vaporeon taking a rest on a rock in the middle of the water.

The detail is amazing as Vaporeon has part of its tail in the water, which can be seen through the side of the terrarium.

There is a beautiful little flower on the rock to give it a nice pop of colour and the texture of moving water by glimmering waves visible in the surface of the water.

Our final terrarium is of the mythical Pokémon Celebi.

This scene is set in the Ilex Forest at the shrine of Celebi, who is the guardian of the forest. In this scene you can see the illusion of thick forest (it is said the forest trees are so close together that they block out light and the forest seems to be in a state of constant night). The clearing in the trees shows Celebi sitting playfully on top of its shrine. The shrine is positioned on a stone slab with a stone floor that has some moss growing on it. It’s a simple scene that captures a lot of discrete detail and captures the atmosphere the creator intended to portray.

Overall this set is a joy to look at. The contrast in all 6 terrariums adds a nice variety. They were easy to set up and the acrylic domes have a flat base, so the terrariums can sit unsupported on a flat surface. Each one comes with a piece of gum for you to enjoy. They can be displayed with the top half of the dome attached or removed. They will certainly be adored by avid Pokémon collectors, and would make a fantastic addition to any Pokémon display.
