To all our dear customers,

We are writing this article to let you know about the current COVID-19 situation here at Plaza Japan and our plans going forward with the handling of your orders.

First and foremost we hope that all of you are well in these difficult times. Plaza Japan is operational as always and all of our staff is healthy, we have been working in a clean and safe environment where we also keep our products.

International Flights Situation
Unfortunately, with the current global situation and the spread of the coronavirus, Japan Post has suspended services to a high number of countries.

Any available shipping option rate quotes will be displayed BEFORE making a purchase.



Plaza Japan hopes to resume all other shipping options as soon as possible and will post updates here as and when we receive them.

From here on we will report a list of updates to keep you informed with recent changes and which countries can still be serviced.
DHL and FedEx are operational in most countries so this section will focus on updates from the Japan Post.

Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man - EMS, Air Resumed
Luxembourg - Air Resumed

2022, August 1st Update:

Australia - Air, Air Registered and EMS resumed

 

2022, July 1st Update:

Some shipping services have been resumed with the Japan Post.

Great Britain - EMS resumed

Netherlands - Air, Air Registered and EMS resumed

Italy - Air, Air Registered and EMS resumed

Greece - Air, Air Registered and EMS resumed

France - EMS resumed

 

2022, May 20th Update:

Shipping to Belgium has resumed with the Japan Post.

 

2022, March 8th Update:

The Japan Post has suspended all services to many European countries including 
Andorra, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Jersey, Germany, Finland, France, Belgium, Isle of Man, Monaco

DHL and FedEx are still available to most locations WORLDWIDE

Japan Post Viable Shipping Locations as of March 8th:

Depending on your country, some shipping methods may not be available. 

North American Region:
United States (EMS Only) (Excluding Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Virgin Islands, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and Palau, APO/FPO)

Europe & Middle East: 
Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey.

Asia:
China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macao, Maldives, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam

Oceania:
New Zealand

Regarding orders that have been returned or not dispatched:

When possible our team will send your order using an alternative shipping method such as DHL for no additional charge, if however, there is concern about import or shipping fees, our team will contact you to clarify the situation.

2022, March 1st Update:

The Japan Post has suspended services, including EMS and Standard Air Registered to many other countries.

2022, February 22nd Update: (Changes to Ukraine) 

Japan Post has suspended all services to Ukraine.

Until further notice, shipments to Ukraine will not be available.

2021, December 21st Update: (Changes to Canada)

Japan Post has suspended all services to Canada.

Until further notice, shipments to Canada will continue to be available by DHL only.

If you have an outstanding order with us including pre-order products and service has not be restored by the time a product is released, our customer support may contact you to change the selected shipping method.

2021, November 1st Update: (Changes to the US, Australia)

Japan Post has suspended some services to Australia and the US. Shipments to the US with Japan Post are now only possible by EMS.

Service to both countries will continue to be available by FedEx or DHL. If alternative shipping services are available these options will be present at checkout.

If you have an outstanding order with us including pre-order products and service has not be restored by the time a product is released, our customer support may contact you to change the selected shipping method.

2021, October 14th Update:

Japan Post has halted all services to Italy, San Marino, UAE, Israel and a few other countries. Shipments to these countries will continue to be available by DHL or FedEx only.

2021, June 1st Update:

Japan Post has resumed EMS service to the United States (Including Hawaii but excluding overseas territories). As announced officially by the postal service, they have also introduced additional shipping fees for Zone 2 territories (Oceania, North America, Central America, Middle East and Europe) and therefore our rates have been adjusted accordingly.
